"Come'on, follow me." Darius basically commanded, Laika rolling their eyes and following the witch.

"This isn't that necessary-"

"You've been wearing the same four outfits for over two months. It is very much necessary." They followed him into his work room, looking through his bookshelf and pulling out a random one with a leather cover. He flipped through it, mulling over a few of the pages before he summoned an abomination to hold open the book. It was obvious by now, it was a book of various different clothing designs.

"Did you make clothing designs for me?" Laika asked with an amused look. Darius paused, then turned around and posed Laika how he needed.

"Perhaps. What if I did?"

"Dork." They replied.

"You wrote me a song, you're much dorkier than I will ever be."

"Okay okay, fair."

Laika had to admit, the designs he drew were beautiful. She remembered that before the mentorship with the old Golden Guard, he mentioned wanting to go into clothing design. Admittedly they weren't too sure if he continued to pursue that in any fashion once coven head business took over, but it seems he had.

Though, she also noticed each page had a witch base with the clothes drawn on top. Seemed like he still struggled with anatomy, which was mildly amusing.

"What are you smiling at?" Darius questioned, already kind of knowing the answer and smirking.

"Oooh nothing." They rolled their eyes and tilted their head, only for his abomination ponytail to reach out and grab the bottom of her face, putting it right back where it was before.

"Please don't move, I'd like to not stab you with a needle."

"But it'd be so romantic." She teased, only to quiet down when Darius pointed a newly acquired sewing needle at them.

"I can't make you a brand new wardrobe, at least not today. However once I get your measurements I can make clothing for you without you needing to be here." He explained, an abomination grabbing some different colors and textured fabric.

"It kind of seems like a lot of work. Are you-"

"Don't even." He interrupted, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. "You're worth whatever trouble you think this is." She smiled softly, wanting to reach out and hug him but deciding to stay still like he asked.

"Thank you honey."

"Not a problem in the slightest. Now, how about a dress? That's a good start."

"Oh, absolutely yes! Could it be red? Maybe with blue trims or something?" The bell on his tail jingled as his tail swished back and forth.

"I think I have something perfect in here then."

Laika has and continues to have many sordid affairs. And Aurora or Diedre can have one if mc chooses to pursue one of them. Ari kinda had one, his partner was engaged at the time. Volo has won over a few people's partners, though never purposely so it depends who you ask if it was an affair or not haha. But most of the ro's tend to avoid taken people.

CHARACTERS. first off, the fiancés magnifique, as they say whereever they speak french

i dont have much to say about these guys just yet. theyre vibing. i think the one on the left is a mage and the one on the right is a myrmidon

next!!! the uninspired-design duo! been referring to them in my mind as laika and lululemon, but i dont know which is which

the girls a pegasus knight and the boys an assassin. theyre mid-late game units, probably the last recruitable ones, but theyre not particularly important to the story really, just there to help out if everyone is dead/underleveled. the girl is the first to join, starting as a red unit but fleeing toward your group as a green unit after a turn or two. the boy joins on the next level, she needs to talk to him, nobody else can. if he dies, she either becomes an enemy unit again (if hes unrecruited) or leaves after the battle (if hes recruited) but if she dies he either starts attacking your units (if unrecruited) or leaves after the battle (if recruited). this applies to all battles.

NICKNAMES: my sister calls me things like monkey and squishy but my actual nickname is just the first letter of my actual name

HEIGHT: at least 5'3", i haven't measured in a while but my best friend is 5'2" and a half and i'm visibly taller than her (i'm very short though so yeah probably just barely 5'3")

LAST THING I GOOGLED: invincible (i saw a post on here about steven yeun being in this show so i looked it up)

AMOUNT OF SLEEP: around 5-7 hours on weekdays and almost 10 hours on weekends (i'm literally doing this at 1:30 am so that's not helping but i usually fall asleep at like 2 or 2:30, and then i wake up at like 8 or 9 and i just sleep into the afternoon on weekends)

Spilling my random thoughts on the Visions 2 Trailer

I loved tall the anime styles in V1 but I also adore the fact they’re branching out more for V2 also (of course there’s still anime ones, and OOOH they look amazing)

Firstly uhhh WHHAHAAAA I LOVE THIS STYLE AND DESIGN I think this is the one I’m most hyped for

The art style is beautiful, the colors are stunning, and the character design is top NOTCH. I cannot wait to see more of this one

i just finished playing planet laika after your suggestion and WOW...it was really good, and i'll be simmering with thoughts about it for a while. i'd love to hear any thoughts you have!!

oooh i’m glad you played it and enjoyed it!!! god there is just SO MUCH to the game it’s really hard for me to gather me thoughts???

i think the main thing that’ll be sticking with me is the ending but i would hate to spoil it so i will refrain….. but it did remind me of a certain tv show with an infamous ending so. 🤔 i don’t want to take a hard line on what the ending implicates, but it’s possible that it’s a direct reference.

but in general i really enjoyed how it like… played with reality? i really enjoyed that characters would shift alters (apologies if i am using wrong DID terminology btw) and they’d change their shape but it’s not like. clear if they actually did?? or sometimes they’d just transform into different shapes entirely and it’s not clear what that all means. tbh i didn’t get a lot of the Actual Lore but i also get the impression that it’s overly complex in a way that doesn’t actually matter, and it’s more the fact that it IS complex. the game is about trauma, guilt, and grief, and the weird feelings and justifications that come with that.

there are sooooo many things i wonder about the plot, but i’m not sure if it’ll ever be answered! then again, i heard that if you replay the game with different personalities out you can get a lot of new scenes! i think spacer tends to get the most “flashback” type scenes so i’m really curious if focusing entirely on him would lead to some interesting insights on laika’s past.

Story: Clever and amusing, but ultimately nothing to write home about. I guess it kinda had a commentary on unchecked capitalism, which was good? 6/10 Art Style: I literally cannot express how much I *hated* the art for this one. It made me feel physically repulsed. -10/10 ☠🤖

Ice

Story: Ultimately left me with more questions than answers, but the story it did tell was entertaining. Wish I could learn more about the universe here. 7/10 Art Style: Very artsy. Similar to Zima Blue from Vol. 1, but not quite as stylized. 7/10 ☠🤖

Pop Squad

Story: I cried. 10/10 Art Style: Animation was top notch. It was a more realistic style, but not so much that I couldn't tell it was animated, which isn't a bad thing. 10/10 ❤☠🤖

Snow in the Desert

Story: I liked it! Clever and engaging. Didn't shy away from violence, and the sex scene didn't feel as gratuitous as the one in Beyond the Aquilla Rift. Again, you only get such a brief view into the universes of these shorts and this one left me wanting to know more. 8/10 Art Style: At times, I was asking myself "Is this animation or live action??" I'm subtracting one point because it was almost too good and hit right in the Uncanny Valley. 9/10 ❤☠🤖

The Tall Grass

Story: Oooh this one had me on the edge of my seat. Surprisingly low-tech for being in a series called "Love, Death + Robots", though. 8.5/10 Art Style: Drop-dead gorgeous. It looks like a painting. Love it. The [REDACTED] design was great, too. 10/10 ☠

All Through the House

Story: Clever and amusing. Sometimes just because you can see the twist coming doesn't mean it's a bad one. Also does not feature Love, Death, or Robots. 7.5/10 Art Style: Felt almost like a Studio Laika animation, very stop-motion-esque. Liked it. 8.5/10

Life Hutch

Story: Good use of flashbacks, and an intriguing premise, but felt like it could have been fleshed out more? Idk. 7/10 Art Style: Again with the hyper-realism. The non-human bits looked great, though. 8/10 ☠🤖

The Drowned Giant

Story: ...huh? I mean... neat? I guess? Kinda weird. 6/10 Art Style: See Also - Uncanny Valley. 8/10 ☠

Volume 2 as a whole: I was a little disappointed that Vol. 2 only had 8 episodes as opposed to Vol. 1's 18, but they were all pretty good! Again, I'd very much reccomend you watch all of them. Maybe your opinion will be different!
